  1. Howdy,
  2.  
  3.    This is a little text file to help you get DeepSpace running on your CNET
  4. BBS.  DeepSpace was originally written as a DOS door and previously tested
  5. on E! BBS only.  Well, I happened into the programmers here in Spokane and
  6. got it to run on my CNET bbs for them and here is how it's done:

  8. 1.  In your PFILES: directory, make a directory called DeepSpace.
  9.  
  10. 2.  Uncompress the DeepSpace archive into the Deepspace directory.  Your
  11.     directory tree should now look something like this:
  12.  
  13.    Pfiles:DeepSpace/Text (dir)
  14.                     DeepSpace
  15.                     DeepHost
  16.                     DeepSet
  17.                     DeepSpace.guide
  18.                     DS_TA.lha
  19.                     sysop.notes
  20.                     Gamesetup
  21.  
  22. 3.  Run the executable GAMESETUP.  Note that you must fill in the PATH or
  23.     the setup will fail.
  24.  
  25. 4.  Somewhere in your USER-STARTUP put the following line:
  26.  
  27.     run pfiles:Deepspace/deephost <nil: >nil:
  28.  
  29. 5.  Add DeepSpace as a DOS door with the following options:  (Note:  Keep in
  30.     mind that this is the setup per CNET 3.05c.)
  31.  
  32. DOS filename:  Pfiles:deepspace/deepspace
  33. Description :  DeepSpace
  34. Arguments   :  %1 T=%7 CNET ECHO A=5 ASKRIP
  35.  
  36. Disable MORE?  YES
  37. Raw Console Startup?  YES
  38.  
  39. 6.  Reboot your computer to start the DeepHost server and you should be good
  40.     to go.
